Day 1 – Arrival in Cochin (Kochi)

Once you arrive at the Cochin Airport or Railway Station, you are going to receive an assisted transfer to your hotel. Cochin is one of the most popular cities of Kerala. Also referred to as the “Queen of the Arabian Sea”, it has a number of famous tourist attractions. Relax for a couple of hours. Later, you can leave your room to explore the markets where you can shop for high-quality of nuts, spices and handicrafts. Night stay at the hotel.

Day 2 – Cochin Sightseeing

Today, you are going to visit the popular tourist attractions of this coastal city. Most of the attractions of the city have a Portuguese, Dutch and British influence in their architecture. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, built in 1568. Observe the beautiful hand painted Chinese tiles in white and blue color used here. Next in line is the oldest European church of the country, the St. Francis Church. Later visit the Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace. You are going to see the murals, Palanquins and many more ancient things here. Do not miss the Chinese nets too. The evening is fixed for attending a Kathakali performance. Overnight stay. (B)

Day 3 – Cochin – Munnar (around 4 hrs)

In the morning, board a bus to proceed to Munnar in surface bus. Move into your hotel, once you reach “the Switzerland of India”. This hill town of the southern region of India is considered to be extremely beautiful. Today you are going to visit Eravikulam National Park, which is home to a rare species of a kind of mountain goat. Enjoy a jungle safari here. Later explore the old town market of Munnar. Stay overnight.

Day 4 – Munnar

Post breakfast embark on an excursion to the exotic Eravikulam National Park. Enjoy the visit to the amazing national park to enjoy the glimpse of rare mountain goats locally famed as the NilgiriTahr, leopard, Indian bison, Tiger, leopard etc. It is an ideal place for seeing the biodiversity of high elevation shoal-grassland ecosystem.

Day 5 – Munnar – Periyar

Enjoy an early morning walk in the tea estates of Munnar, during your nature walk you are going to spot a rare flower called NeelaKurunji. Later, leave for Periyar to go to Periyar National Park, famous as tiger and elephant reserve. On arrival, check into a jungle lodge. In the evening, you are going to enjoy bird watching while boat riding on the Periyar Lake where you can spot both resident and migratory birds. Night stay in the lodge.

Day 6 – Periyar- Kumarakom

Leave by road for Kumarakom in the morning. Kumarakom is a very well-known tourist destination, which has Lake Vembanand in its background. On arrival, check into a hotel which is going to be on alongside the Vembanad Lake, also known as Kumarakom Lake. Have your lunch and move out of your room to enjoy a boat ride on the lake where you might spot some exotic bird species along with the scenic natural surroundings. Later in the evening, you can roam around the place to get a feel of it or can also shop for beautiful handicrafts. Night stay in the hotel.

Day 7 – Kumarakom – Alleppey

Today embark on a scenic cruise along the vast stretches of palm-fringed backwaters. You will be served lunch and dinner on the houseboat itself. You are going to have an overnight stay in this houseboat, which is well-fitted with every facility. Reach Alleppey.

Day 8 – Alleppey – Cochin and Departure

9 Night 10 Day

Day 1 – Cochin

After arriving at Cochin airport, meet our representative who’ll arrange a smooth transfer for you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. Rest and relax for a while. Then proceed to visit the major tourist attractions like Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Portuguese architecture, St. Francis Church and Boghatty Palace. While exploring the place have a sight of Chinese fishing net swaying in the breeze over backwaters. These fishing net exhibit the mechanical method of catching fish by the local fishermen in high tide conditions. Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 – Cochin – Munnar

After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, drive straight to Munnar. On arrival at Munnar, get transferred to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is to be spent relaxing in your room. Munnar is an idyllic tourist destination offering an unending expanse of tea plantation. The presence of lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs and forests are there to enthrall you. The place is visited by many adventures-seeking traveler, who have a keen interest in Paragliding. In the evening get down from your hotel for a leisurely walk to explore the nearby areas. Enjoy a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 3 – Munnar

Next day wake up early in the morning and after breakfast, proceed towards a sightseeing tour of Munnar. The major tourist hotspots to be covered include the Atukkad Waterfalls, Chithirapuram, Blossom Park and Pothamedu View Point. Also enjoy an excursion to Eravikulam national park, another major tourist attraction, where one can find the endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr. In the evening pay a visit to explore the Rajamala Hills. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 – Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar)

On the 4th day of the tour post breakfast, leave for a four hour long drive to Thekkady. While on drive to Thekkady enjoy the drive as the road winds through the thick jungles and rich plantation. Upon arrival, check in at one of our enlisted hotels in the city. In the afternoon proceed to Periyar Wildlife Tiger Reserve to enjoy the jeep safari. Periyar is a veritable paradise of elephants. Scores of them can be witnessed bathing and swimming here. Later in the evening you may enjoy boat ride at Periyar Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 – Thekkady – Kumarakom

In the morning after breakfast, head straight to Kumarakom. The place proves to be a paradise for bird watchers. On reaching Kumarakom pay a visit to bird sanctuary. After bird watching head to one of our enlisted hotel for check-in and breakfast. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may indulge in water sports like water skiing and wind sailing. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Kumarakom

Post breakfast, head to visit the Bay Island Driftwood Museum. Later in the day enjoy sightseeing at Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom is a tourist village situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 – Kumarakom – Alleppey

Post breakfast leave for Alleppey in a houseboat for an overnight cruise. The Kerala backwaters have been known for their mesmerizing and alluring charms spread across the whole area. While cruising along the backwater feast your eyes with lush green padded fields, palm fringed costal lines and enjoy the majestic scenery. Enjoy an overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 8 – Alleppey – Kovalam

In the morning drive towards Kovalam. Check-in at one of our listed hotels, on arrival. After relaxing for a while move out for an excursion to Kovalam Beach. The beach is ideal for various kind of water sports like Kayaking, surfing , skiing and swimming. You may pamper yourself with a body toning massage at any of the centers of your choice. Overnight stay at the hotel near the beach.

Day 9 – Kovalam -Trivandrum

In the morning wake up early and after breakfast, drive straight to Trivandrum. On arrival, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Then head to visit to the major tourist attractions like the Padmanabhaswami temple, Puthenmali Palace, Napier Art Museum & Gallery and the Museum Complex.

Day 10 – Departure

After breakfast, get transferred to the Trivandrum airport to board a flight for your onward destination.

6 Night 7 Day

Day 1 – Cochin

After reaching the Cochin airport, meet our representative who’ll escort you to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel to relax in the cozy comfort of its room. After straightening your backs for a while, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Cochin. The major tourist attractions of Cochin include St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Hill Palace and Kochi Fort. Later in the day visit the Chinese fishing nets that are distinctly unique to Cochin, being lowered at the Vasco-da- Gama square. In the evening take a leisurely walk to Cochin spice market. After the visit to the market return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Cochin – Alleppey

Next morning after breakfast, cruise to Alleppey – the Venice of the East. It is a popular tourist destination for its picturesque canals, backwaters and lagoons. Upon reaching Alleppey, get accommodated at one of our listed houseboats. Enjoy cruising around the majestic backwaters on this floating villa to observe the daily life of the villagers along the backwaters. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the houseboat.

Day 3 – Alleppey – Kovalam

In the morning disembark from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam. The shallow and low tidal beaches of Kovalam have been a favorite tourist haunt. Kovalam has three crescent shaped beaches separated by rocky outcroppings. On reaching Kovalam check-in at one of our listed hotels. After resting for a while, move out to explore the beautiful Kovalam beaches. At the beach indulge in sunbathing and enjoy water sports like Surfing, wooden boat ride, Motor boat ride and the herbal body toning massages. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Kovalam

Today the day is reserved for you to enjoy an ayurvedic therapy. Meet our resident doctors who’ll after consultation plan your program and a diet chart. During the period in which you take up this ayurvedic therapy do not exert yourself much and no alcohol and tobacco should be consumed for the best results. The therapy will incorporate various herbal massages, steam baths and yoga asana. Enjoy overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 5 – Kovalam

Day 7 – Kovalam – Trivandrum

On the following day drive straight to Trivandrum. On reaching Trivandrum, check-in at one of our listed hotels. Rest and relax for a while in the hotel room. The major tourist attractions of Trivandrum include Padmanabha Swami Temple, Shri Chitra Art Gallery and the Museum. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner. After dinner, transfer to Trivandrum airport to board a flight for onward journey.

13 Night 14 Day

Day 1 – 2 New Delhi

After arriving in Delhi, meet our tour representative who would help you with an assisted transfer to a luxury hotel in a chauffeur driven car. Complete the check-in formalities and settle in your room. If you want you can relax for sometime.

Your first destination, Delhi is a cultural potpourri and the political melting point of India. Sprinkled with innumerable tourist attractions belonging to different centuries, the city has something for every kind of a traveler. Not only the attractions but the street food of Delhi is also a big hit. Delhi city rightly deserves to be the capital of India for being a toxic mix of the old and the new world.

The second day is scheduled to explore the prime tourist attractions of Delhi. Get all set to take the tour of Old and New Delhi. Some of the highlights of the day include Cycle Richshaw Ride in the bylanes of Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Raj Ghat and Humayun Tomb.

The markets of Old Delhi are a mish-mash of food, products and entertainment. Just think of anything and you would be able to find it in the wholesale markets of Old Delhi. While Chandni Chowk is known for wedding garments, the spice market Khari Baoli here, is the largest wholesale market of Asia. And, if you talk of food, old Delhi offers lip-smacking orgasmic food items. Enjoy a rickshaw ride here.

A 100 meter high minaret constructed during the 12th century, Qutub Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with Alai Darwaza and The Tomb of Iltutmish. The first floor of the Minar has the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. Qutub Minar is made up of sandstone, marble and red sandstone and one can spot the verses of Quran carved on it. While the first 3 floors are in red sandstone, the 4th and 5th floor are in marble and sandstone.

Another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi is Red Fort is also the venue of the Independence Day celebration of the country. Constructed in the year 1648, the fort was the residence of the Mughal Emperor of India till 1857. The face of heritage and architecture of Delhi, its top front contains the fluttering Indian Flag.

Day 3 – 4 Delhi- Agra

On day 3, get transferred to Agra and check-in at a luxury Hotel. Day 3 and 4 are scheduled for exploring the Mughal City of Agra, placed on the banks of River Yamuna. In spite of all the modernization, the city has been able to maintain its distinct Mughal charm. An important tourist destination of India, Agra houses The Taj Mahal one of the Seven Wonders of the World, along with a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The city is surely a storehouse of history and architecture. Do not miss trying two food specialties- Petha and Dal Moth.

After completing the check-in formalities, leave the hotel for visiting the prime tourist attractions of Agra including Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Not only one of the Seven Wonders of the World but a UNESCO World Heritage Site too, the white marble mausoleum, Taj Mahal took 22 years to get completed. Placed on the Southern banks of River Yamuna, it was commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz wife. This beautiful structure is a mix of Indian, Persian, Mughal, Ottoman and Islamic architectures. Another World Heritage Site, Agra Fort or Red Fort is a daunting structure, exuding a magical charm. This 16th century monument has 70 feet high walls and four huge doors. The fort complex consists of well-maintained lush gardens and the interiors boast of beautiful carvings, stone work and mirror work along with use gold and semi-precious stone work.

Next in line is Sikandara – the Tomb of Akbar, the great Mughal Emperor. Lying on the outskirts of the city, this mausoleum houses the remains of the Emperor. Akbar commissioned the construction of the monument during his lifetime and later, the top structure was added by Jahangir, his son.

Day 5 – 6 Agra-Jaipur

Get an assisted transfer to the capital city of Rajasthan, the ‘Pink City’ – Jaipur. Also the largest city of the state, the vibrant Jaipur is home to several archeological attractions like forts and palaces, colorful bazaars and more. The bustling Jaipur is one of the most popular destinations of India, alluring national and international tourists in huge numbers. The city was founded in the year 1727. Gorging on lip-smacking Rajasthani food is a must. On arrival, check-in at a city’s luxury hotel.

Day 5 and 6 are scheduled for exploring the popular attractions of Jaipur, including Jantar Mantar (an astronomical observatory), Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Museum and Amber fort. During free time, visit the bustling local markets of Jaipur to get your hands on some amazing stuff like handicrafts, ethnic clothes, semi-precious jewels, Lac bangles, imitation jewellery and more.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Amber Fort (Amer Fort) is around 11 km away from the city center, which is placed on a hilltop. A well-preserved monument, it was constructed in 1592 by Raja Man Singh I. This white-marbled and red sand stone beauty is decorated with mirrors, precious stones and paintings. Opt for en elephant ride up till the entrance of the fort.

Known for its honeycomb like structures because of the amazing placement of several mini windows (Jharokhas), Hawa Mahal is not only a popular attraction but a landmark too. The royal ladies used to view the views of the market from these windows while staying away from the public. Commissioned in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, it is in pink and red sandstone.

Commissioned by Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, the City Palace complex was built between 1729 and 1732. While a part of the Palace is still the residence of Jaipur’s royalty, major part of it has been constructed into a museum. This museum houses a wonderful collection of royal clothes, paintings, photographs, musical instruments, textiles, costumes and more.

Day 7 – 8 Jaipur-Cochin

In the morning, get transferred to the airport to board a flight for Cochin. On arriving in Cochin, check-in at a luxury hotel in Fort Kochi.

Day 7 and 8 are fixed for exploring Cochin and Fort Kochi, just 7 km away from each other. Also called Kochi or Ernakulam, the vibrant Cochin city is the state’s financial capital. The cosmopolitan hub is often visited by tourists from all around. The city houses a number of tourist attractions. Close to Cochin is the historical town of Fort Kochi, an extremely popular tourist destination in the region. The prime attractions that you would be visiting here include Dutch monuments, Jewish Synagogue, churches and Chinese fishing nets etc.

Locally called Cheenavala, Chinese fishing nets are found only here in the country and make a popular attraction. An unusual method of fishing, these 10 m high nets are installations that are fixed in the land, which uses a unique technique. This method was introduced to the region by Zheng He, the popular Chinese explorer. Scattered all along the beach, this traditional method is still used by fishermen. These nets are made of teak wood. Each net is managed by 4 men.

Jewish Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in all the 53 member-countries of the Commonwealth of Nations. Also known as Paradesi Synagogue and Mattancherry Synagogue, this structure was constructed way back in the year 1568. A prime attraction of the region, it is located in the Jew Town.

St. Francis Church, constructed in the year 1503 by the Portuguese is a popular landmark as well as tourist attraction of the region. It was the site where body of legendary explorer Vasco da Gama was buried originally. When built, the structure was in wood but later after a few years, it was turned into stone. Though the structure is a simple one yet it is quite stunning.

Spend the evening, enjoying a wonderful Kathakali dance performance. Kathakali is the traditional dance of state of Kerala.

Day 9 – 10 Cochin-Periyar National Park (156 km- 4 hours)

If you are a wildlife enthusiast, the following two days are going to be of your extreme interest. In the morning, travel to Thekkady, the location of very popular Periyar national park. The beautiful town of Thekkady is known for housing greenery of spice plantations and rich wildlife in abundance. As you reach, check-into your luxury wildlife resort.

Spread in an area of 777 sq km, Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is thick semi-evergreen and most deciduous jungle, which is home to tigers, elephants, sambars, Nilgiri Langurs, Nilgiri Tahrs, Sloth bear, deer and lion-tailed Macaques. This wildlife reserve is also a paradise for bird watching enthusiast as over 265 species of birds call it a home. During bird watching, you can spot colorful resident and migratory birds such as Crimson-backed sunbird, Malabar grey hornbill, White-bellied blue flycatcher, Nilgiri wood pigeon, Nilgiri flycatcher, blue-winged parakeet, Nilgiri thrush and more. The artificial lake is one of the main highlights here.

Days 9 and 10 will be filled with thrill and action. Though there are several ways to explore the wildlife of the sanctuary including boating, trekking and jeep safari but the best way to discover is to go for boating, cruising on the waters of the Periyar Lake. You can spot herds of elephants quenching their thirst from the lake water.

The other options include taking a tour of the verdant green spice plantations of Thekkady. Enjoy long walks here while the aroma of cardamom, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove fill your nostrils.
